The importance in volunteering
The Eastview Boys and Girls Club has served the Oshawa community for over 40 years, reaching out to approximately 2,000 children and youth each year through after school, weekend and summer programs that build self-esteem and help to develop stronger social skills.
The Eastview Boys and Girls Club believes in involving volunteers in an effective and meaningful way. Our volunteer opportunities are designed to create an experience that is rewarding to the volunteer, to the organization and most importantly, to our members. Volunteer involvement with our organization is essential to ensure the delivery of effective and supportive programs. Volunteers make a difference in the lives of our members. Get involved and help make a difference in a youth’s life!
I want to get started
Our Volunteer Program provides a practical interactive experience for those who enjoy working with our members. Each volunteer can expect to fill out an application, be interviewed, screened, trained and work along with our staff. Call our Volunteer Coordinator for further information at 905-728-5121.
We ask for a commitment of at least 3 hours per week throughout our Fall, Winter and Spring session and for the summer session we ask for at least 6 hours a week commitment.
Team Members who are 14 & 15 years old with a valid teen membership will be accepted as volunteers for the afterschool program, which runs September through May. All other volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
